Vision and Mission

At Little Lantern Group, our vision is to create a world where every individual—especially children and young people living with disability—feels safe, valued, and empowered to reach their full potential. Guided by our mission to deliver high-quality, person-centred NDIS support, we place child safety at the core of everything we do. We are committed to fostering environments that are not only inclusive and nurturing but also uphold the highest standards of protection, dignity, and care. Through early intervention, holistic disability support, and culturally responsive practices, we strive to uplift families, break down barriers, and build stronger, more connected communities. At the heart of our work is a belief that every child deserves not just to be supported—but to be seen, heard, and truly understood.

At Little Lantern Group, we believe every child and every person living with a disability deserves the right environment to grow — one that is safe, respectful, and full of opportunity. We understand that children aren’t meant to be shaped — they’re meant to be supported and understood for who they truly are. And we believe disability is not a limitation, but a different way of experiencing and contributing to the world. That’s why we work closely with families, participants, and support coordinators to create support that builds confidence, nurtures independence, and fosters real connection — so every person feels empowered to grow in their own time, their own way, and with the right people beside them.

Our Promise

To provide a safe, caring space where every person feels seen, supported, and free to grow in their own way.

We put child safety first, always.

At Little Lantern, we believe that every child deserves a safe, nurturing environment where they can grow, explore, and thrive. That’s why our guiding principle is simple yet unwavering: we put child safety first, always. From the moment a child enters our care, their well-being becomes our top priority. Our facilities are thoughtfully designed with childproofing measures, secure entry points, and age-appropriate equipment to ensure a physically safe environment. But safety goes beyond the physical—we also foster emotional and psychological security by promoting kindness, inclusion, and attentive care from all staff members.
Our commitment to safety is embedded in every aspect of our daily operations. All team members undergo rigorous background checks, first-aid training, and ongoing professional development focused on child protection and well-being. We maintain clear communication with families, encourage open dialogue, and prioritize transparency in everything we do. At Little Lantern, safety isn’t just a policy— it’s the foundation of trust that allows children to shine confidently and parents to have peace of mind.

To be a guiding light in the lives of children, young people, and families, creating safe, nurturing spaces where every child feels seen, valued, and empowered to thrive.

To provide compassionate, child, youth and Family-focused care through safe placement, developmental support, respite services, family support, and housing solutions. We partner with families, communities, and professionals to empower every child’s journey with, love, dignity, hope, and trust.

We are committed to providing support that prioritises transition, human rights, continuity, safety, cultural responsiveness, and a person-centred approach, ensuring every individual receives the care they need in a respectful and empowering way.

Our Guiding Principles

At the heart of our work is a deep, unwavering commitment to the safety, rights, and wellbeing of people with disability — especially children and young people. Everything we do is guided by principles that ensure our support is not only effective but ethical, inclusive, and empowering.
These are more than values. They are Our Promise.

Smooth and Supported Transitions

We recognise that change — whether moving between services, life stages, or environments — can be challenging. We walk beside participants and families through these transitions, ensuring they are prepared, supported, and empowered every step of the way. Continuity, communication, and compassion are key to how we guide change.

Respect for Human Rights

We uphold and defend the inherent rights of every individual. Our approach is grounded in the NDIS Code of Conduct and the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, ensuring participants are heard, respected, and supported to live with dignity, choice, and control.

Financial Responsibility and Transparency

We manage resources with care and integrity. Through transparent, ethical, and participant-focused financial practices, we ensure that NDIS funds are used effectively to achieve the goals that matter most to each individual. Participants and families are supported to make informed, confident financial decisions.

Continuity of Care

Consistency builds trust — and trust builds progress. We prioritise stable support and long-term relationships, especially for children and vulnerable individuals. Our services are designed to maintain therapeutic momentum, emotional safety, and developmental growth over time.

Safety First, Always

Safety is non-negotiable. We maintain a strong safeguarding culture that protects every individual from harm — physically, emotionally, and psychologically. Our team is trained in child safety standards, risk management, and trauma-informed care, ensuring every environment is safe, respectful, and protective.

Culturally Responsive Practice

We recognise and respect the unique cultural identities of every person we support. Whether working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, CALD communities, or diverse families, we listen deeply, learn continuously, and tailor our services in ways that are culturally safe, inclusive, and affirming.

Person-Centred Support

We don’t just support plans — we support people. Our services are led by the goals, strengths, and preferences of each individual. We empower participants to take the lead in their lives, make meaningful decisions, and achieve outcomes that reflect who they are and what they value.

Our Promise

  • These principles are the foundation of how we work — and they reflect our promise to every person we support: To walk beside you. To listen without judgment. To act with integrity. To protect your rights. To honour your culture. To uphold your safety. And to put you — the person — at the centre of everything we do.
  • We are more than a service provider.
  • We are partners in your journey.
